Tri-County Technical College is going "Tobacco Free" effective August 1, 2014.
TCTC is committed to supporting a culture and environment of health for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A tobacco-free environment contributes substantially to a healthier environment.
Effective Aug. 1, 2014, tobacco use will be prohibited on all Tri-County Technical College campuses and learning centers, including all buildings, parking lots, automobiles, and outdoor areas. "Tobacco" refers to any and all tobacco products, whether inhaled or ingested, as well as electronic cigarettes.
The College will provide information and support to those who wish to stop using tobacco products through the Student Assistance Program, the Employee Assistance Program, and other resources and services. Reminders of the implementation date and support services will be provided on a regular basis.
My name is Allison Read and I am the Easley Campus Library Coordinator. I began working at TCTC in April of 2014.
In 2008, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with my Master of Library and Information Science degree. My bachelor's degree is in English from Erskine College. I have worked previously as a librarian at West Virginia University and the Greenwood County Library.
